Czech Republic

Chlumec is near the border of the Czech Republic and Germany. It is well known as the place of battle between the French and Austrian armies in 1813. The monument on the left was erected on the centenary of that Battle of Kulm (Chlumec). The other is a monument to the Austrian soldiers killed here. In the next album we cross into Germany.
